What is Supported Independent Living?
At Growth Living, the delivery of Supported Independent Living (SIL) services is through our accommodation houses. Our aim is to establish long-term relationships with participants by providing safe, effective and support in care of complex health requirements through Registered Nursing experience and skills.
Growth Living’s newly built home in Austral and no additional cost for an onsite Registered Nurse during business hours.

Access to services
Growth Living provides standard Registered Nursing services, including:
- Allocation of a Registered Nurse during business hours (starting times will vary)
- Allocation of additional Registered Nurses outside business hours (if required)
- Delivery of high-intensity personal care and management of:
- Manual handling and hoist transfer
- Complex bowel care
- Enteral feeding
- Severe dysphagia
- Urinary catheters
- Subcutaneous injections
- Diabetes
- Epilepsy and seizures
- Complex wounds
- Palliation
- Assessment, implementation and intervention of acutely/chronically unwell individuals
- Training, assessment and supervision of Support Workers in delivery of high-intensity daily personal activities
- 24/7 on-call nurse consultation and if required, face-to-face assessment for individuals within Growth Living’s accommodation houses

Other services
Growth Living accommodation houses are a shared living environment with a provided 24-hour active care. Each individual will have their own bedroom with shared living, dining, kitchen and bathroom. During the initial assessment phase, Growth Living will endeavour to fulfill an individual’s preferences in their delivery of support needs.
